MRFF demands Pentagon end war to convert
Air Force Academy cadets to evangelical Christianity
The Military Religious Freedom Foundation ("MRFF") has sent a letter to Defense Secretary Robert Gates demanding that the Air Force Academy in Colorado end its war to convert Academy cadets to evangelical Christianity.
Cadets have been complaining, for years, about aggressive Christian proselytizing by their Commanding Officers at the Air Force Academy. The MRFF is the leading civilian organization that has been challenging the practice.
Things have gotten so bad under the leadership of Lieutenant General Michael Gould and Brigadier General Richard Clark, according to MRFF, that over a hundred cadets have felt forced to fake adherence to evangelical Christianity, by doing such things as "leaving Bibles, Christian literature and Christian music CDs lying around their rooms; attending Fundamentalist Christian Bible studies and feigning devoutness at the Academy's weekly Special Programs in Religious Education (SPIRE) programs."
News of this campaign by MRFF comes only a few days after Fort Bragg in North Carolina presented Rock the Fort, a concert by the Billy Graham Crusade whose primary purpose was to convert soldiers to evangelical Christianity. Meanwhile, soldiers from Fort Eustis in Virginia are still trying to get justice after being punished for not attending an evangelical Christian proselytizing concert on May 13th of this year.

Help support my work by purchasing a Rob Sherman News Mini-Crank Flashlight for $20. It never needs batteries. You just wind it up a few times and it works. Remember, you're not paying twenty bucks just for a flashlight. You are helping me to shine a light on and stop unconstitutional government policies and other catastrophically bad ideas by government and the private sector.
That's the value of what you are purchasing, and that's the difference between Rob Sherman Advocacy and most of the other groups. They talk about the problems of state/church separation. I do something about it and get the violations of your constitutional rights stopped. Besides, there aren't that many of the Rob Sherman News Mini-Crank Flashlights, so you might be able to make a lot of money selling this rare collector's item in a few years.
