Rich Whitney, Rob Sherman to appear in
NW suburban Labor Day Weekend parades

Share |

This weekend is your opportunity to meet and greet with both Green Party candidate for Governor Rich Whitney and also with me in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

Rich and I will be in the Buffalo Grove Days parade on Sunday afternoon and in the Septemberfest parade in Schaumburg on Monday morning.  If you are Green or would like to be Green, come walk with us!

Buffalo Grove Days parade:

Parade line-up and meet-and-greet is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  I will be there at around 11 a.m.  Rich will be there at about noon.  The parade steps off at 1 p.m.

The NW Cook County Green Party will march in the middle of the parade at Parade Position Number 67.  There usually are around 100 units in each year's parade.

However, our line-up position is right in the center of all the action, just five spots south of Bernard Drive on Regent Drive, in Zone Four.  (It's really like three spots south of the corner, since line-up is on both sides of the street.)  Parade line-up positions fan out from the corner of Bernard and Regent, so we are truly dead center of all of the pre-parade activity and crowd gathering.

Bernard Drive is located a half-mile north of Dundee Road (Illinois Route 68) and a half-mile south of Lake-Cook County Line Road (on the Cook County side).

Regent Drive is the first street east of Arlington Heights Road.

Along Dundee Road, Arlington Heights Road is located one mile east of Illinois Route 53, 2.5 miles west of Elmhurst Road (Illinois Route 83), 4 miles west of Milwaukee Avenue (Illinois Route 21 / US Route 45) and 5 miles west of the Tri-State Tollway (Interstate 294 at this location).

Along Lake-Cook Road, Arlington Heights Road is located 1.5 miles east of Route 53, 1.25 miles west of Route 83, 3.5 miles west of Milwaukee Avenue and 6 miles west of the Tri-State Tollway (Interstate 94 at this location).

Septemberfest parade in Schaumburg:  The NW Cook County Green Party will march in the middle of the parade at Parade Position Number 56.

Line-up is on the north side of Wise Rd, east of Summit Drive (between Summit and Plum Grove Rd – note that Meacham is called Plum Grove Rd in Palatine, but this Plum Grove Road is west of Meacham). Lineup time begins at 8:30 AM.  Parade steps off at 10 a.m.

From Interstate 290 / Illinois Route 53:  Exit at Biesterfield Road and go west.  Biesterfield Road becomes Wise Road just west of 290 / 53.  Our parade line-up position is about two miles west of 290/53 on Wise Road / Biesterfield Road.

Alternate Route:  From the Elgin-O'Hare Expressway, exit at Roselle Road.  Wise Road is three quarters of a mile north of the Elgin-O'Hare.  Then, Summit is a half mile east of Roselle.

See you there!

Help support my work by purchasing a Rob Sherman News Mini-Crank Flashlight for $20.  It never needs batteries.  You just wind it up a few times and it works.  Remember, you're not paying twenty bucks just for a flashlight.  You are helping me to shine a light on and stop unconstitutional government policies and other catastrophically bad ideas by government and the private sector.

That's the value of what you are purchasing, and that's the difference between Rob Sherman Advocacy and most of the other groups.  They talk about the problems of state/church separation.  I do something about it and get the violations of your constitutional rights stopped.  Besides, there aren't that many of the Rob Sherman News Mini-Crank Flashlights, so you might be able to make a lot of money selling this rare collector's item in a few years.
