Top Ten Reasons why it's Great
to be an Atheist at this time of year

Reason #10:  No getting frostbite putting stupid lights up around the outside of your house.

Reason # 9:  No trips to the hospital from falling off of your roof and onto your head or your ass from trying to put up those stupid lights.

Reason # 8:  No getting frostbite taking down those stupid lights in January, either.

Reason # 7:  No burning down your house when some live tree catches fire in your living room.  What the hell are you doing, putting a live "evergreen" tree in your living room, and then stringing a bunch of electrical wires and lights on the tree, just when the tree is in its most combustible state?  Are you trying to burn your house down?

Reason # 6:  No need to send out, by postal or by e-mail, those annoying holiday cards with the phony sincerity.

Reason # 5:  No need to go shopping for crap that nobody wants, and paying retail prices for that crap, too.

Reason # 4:  No need to offend people with holiday greetings that conflict with that person's own traditions.

Reason # 3:   No need to deceive your kids about the supposed existence of Santa, only to have them find out, eventually, that you're a damn liar.  There is no Santa Claus!  What else have you been lying to your kids about?

Reason # 2:  No need to feel guilty, ashamed and humiliated at how your house of worship, parochial school and/or religious ministry has been stealing from the taxpayers, outright robbing them, by demanding and then taking grants from the Illinois General Assembly that both the religious organizations and the state legislators know are unconstitutional, that they know they are not entitled to, yet they can't get their own church members to donate to their corrupt religious organization so they go to Springfield and get laws passed that force taxpayers to donate, against their will, to these clergy thieves.  Religion:  America's worst criminals and greatest embarrassment.

Reason # 1:  Having a clear conscience that we are honest and honorable;  that we are truthful to our kids.  We don't steal from our neighbors the way religious organizations do.  We don't endanger our families with stupid and reckless rituals and dishonest traditions.

In short, we atheists are America's model citizens.

Atheism.  Nothing beats being right.  Aren't you glad that you are an atheist?  Don't you wish everybody was?
