Not one of us atheists:  Al-Shabaab gunmen

I've often been told that atheist men are just not like Godly men.

That's for sure, and women around the world are saying, "Thank God for that."

CNN is reporting that "hooded Al-Shabaab gunmen" in Somalia are "flogging any woman who is found not wearing socks" because it violates their version of Islamic law.  These fine Men of God are also flogging any woman who is found to be wearing a bra, because "female undergarments are a deception to men."

Here's my atheistic message to the women of the world:  We atheists respect you.  We believe that you have the right to wear, or not wear, anything you want.  We don't take it upon ourselves to dictate to you what you shall, or shall not, be allowed to do.  That's your decision, not ours.

The CNN story demonstrates, yet again, why atheism makes sense for America, and for the whole rest of the world, too.  The entire planet, and especially women, would be so much better off if religion ceased to exist.
