"Fighting injustice, one victory at a time."
The efforts of Rob Sherman Advocacy to bring the constitution to Niles, Illinois and secularize their holiday display has been featured in area newspapers and on local radio stations. Chicago's top two radio stations, Chicago Tribune's 50,000-watt WGN and the 50,000-watt all-news CBS Radio station WBBM-AM, both broadcast stories featuring interviews that they did with me. The two community newspapers serving Niles also had front page stories this week.

The Niles Herald-Spectator is the Pioneer Press newspaper serving Niles. Pioneer Press publishes forty-nine community newspapers in the Chicago area, covering many of the north and northwest suburbs of Chicago. The same company that publishes the Chicago Sun-Times publishes the Pioneer Press newspapers.
The lead story in yesterday's Herald-Spectator quoted me regarding one particular aspect of the Niles holiday display. There is a life-sized camel with rider. It looks just like Osama, the reputed 9/11 terrorist, on the way to his office at Niles village hall.

The quote from me in the story is, "Do the people of Niles really want a monument to Osama bin Laden on the front lawn of village hall?" Sherman said.
The newspaper story is entitled Threat is 'foolishness' - Blase. The headline quoted the public posturing of Niles Mayor Nicholas Blase regarding the assertions of Rob Sherman Advocacy. What has been going on behind the scenes is a different matter, which is expected to be resolved with the signing of an agreement on Monday that will resolve the dispute.
Also, as you read the Herald-Spectator story, you will see a reference to the National Civil Rights Foundation. The reporter was working off of old notes that were several years out of date. Rob Sherman Advocacy is the combination of National Civil Rights Foundation, National Atheists and We Need Seat Belts, my organization to get lap and shoulder seat belts on all forms of ground transportation, especially school busses. Nobody knew exactly what a National Civil Rights Foundation was. Everybody knows precisely what a Rob Sherman Advocacy is. It's when you have to deal with me to resolve issues of bad or unconstitutional government policy or bad corporate policy.
The Journal and Topics newspapers publishes fourteen suburban editions. The lead story in Wednesday's Niles Journal and Topics was entitled Nativity Scene Under Protest.
As mentioned above, it is anticipated that an agreement resolving the dispute will be signed and announced on Monday.
