Atheism is growing faster in the United States than any other theological perspective, according to the 2001 report of the American Religious Identification Survey. The report was a project of the City University of New York.

The report says that the number of people in the United States who are atheists or who describe themselves in similar terms has more than doubled in the past eleven years, up from 14 million in 1990 to over 29 million today (see the bottom portion of the second chart on the linked page). Obviously, my effort to get the word out about atheism is working!
Atheists and like-minded individuals now account for 15 percent of the American population. That's the second largest theological perspective group in the country.
Time to change our national motto from "In god we trust" to "United we stand." At our present rate of growth, everybody in America could be an atheist by the end of this century. Wouldn't that be wonderful?
Like Moses once said, I may not get to the Promised Land with you, but victory is in sight.
An all-atheist America by the end of the century! If I could live to the age of 147, I'd be able to see it myself, but that would take an act of God, so I better not live that long because if I did, that would be proof that there is a god and then nobody would be an atheist!
I guess that I'll have to die in the next fifty years to prove that there is no god. Check this web site on March 8, 2052. If I'm still here on that date, start praying!
