March Television Show Debuts

The March, 2002, edition of the Rob Sherman Television Show debuts today.  The subjects covered in this month's show are the God bus and my endorsements in the upcoming Illinois primary elections.

The main subject on this month's show deals with the Patriotism Bus which was operated by a government transit agency in suburban Chicago.  The bus was decorated in patriotic themes, such as Mount Rushmore, the Statue of Liberty, the flag of the United States and the soldiers raising the flag at Iwo Jima.  The bus also, however, boldly displayed a religious message:  "God Bless America."  When the government embraced the religious message as their message, Rob Sherman Advocacy objected and asked the agency to review the constitutionality of government taking a position on religious matters.  The agency conducted the review, determined that I was right and kicked God off the bus.  The moral of the story is:  If you don't pay your $1.50 fare, you don't get to ride the bus, even if you're God.  Transfers cost thirty cents extra, no matter who you think you are.

Also on this month's show, I make my endorsements in the major races in the Illinois primary election.  Election day is in two weeks, on March 19, 2002.
