My internet service provider and I needed to resolve a technical issue before further publishing could take place. That technical issue involved the hit counter that I used on my home page, because the hit counter was a .exe file. Hackers place viruses in the .exe files of e-mail attachments they send you when they are trying to destroy your computer. If you open the attachment, it is the virus that is in the .exe file that causes the damage to your computer.

We reluctantly decided that it was necessary to eliminate .exe files from this site to better protect this site from hackers and to protect you from being victimized if a hacker got into my web site and put a virus in my hit counter .exe file. In order to protect you from the consequences of a hacker attack on my site, I won't use a hit counter any more.
The hit counter was the only .exe file that I utilized anywhere in this site, so no other changes in my site are anticipated and no further risk exists to your computer from viewing the pages of my site.
