Stealth conservatism.
When Newt Gingrich and his radical conservative extremist buddies proposed the Contract with America, known to us liberals as the "Contract ON America," most of America said, "No way!" Gingrich had been too obvious. He crawled back to Georgia with his tail between his legs, and other far-right Congressional kooks got booted from office.
The trick, then, was be to find a way to take over the executive branch of government without getting caught, so that the anti-women, anti-Black, anti-environment and anti-labor policies of the Republican Party could be implemented.
First, put in place a multi-faceted dirty tricks campaign in Florida so massive that you can steal the presidency. Then, propose a Cabinet that looks like America. Finally, once you have your operatives in place, move quietly to impose an ultra-conservative Christian agenda on America.
Watch out for these guys. They're not the friendly, moderate pals that they try to appear to be. Once they take over the government, there will be a persistent campaign to impose, on the sneak, the most right-wing, conservative, extremist agenda in American history.
The conservatives have learned how to get their policies implemented. Pretend that they are moderate pseudo-Democrats, but then implement their right-wing policies on the sneak. Stealth conservatism.
They've been waiting for eight years for the chance to do this to us. You don't think that they are actually going to be reasonable and moderate like Democrats, once they take over, do you?
Their folk hero, Ronald Reagan, once said, "Trust, but verify." Forget the trust part. Just verify with these guys. And, by the way, what's happened to coup-leader James Baker? What role will he be playing in the stealth conservative government?
Keep your guard up. Watch their every move, and be suspicious of everything.
